Get Free Traffic from BlogTalkRadio

September 21, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

BlogTalkRadio is an awesome service, and can send you lots of free traffic if you know what to do. First of all, let’s talk about what blog talk radio is exactly…

Talk radio has been around for decades allowing people to express themselves via radio stations. Traditional talk radio seems to be centered around politics with both liberal and conservative talk radio shows on dozens of radio stations. For example Rush Limbaugh is a famous conservative radio personality, and the program Air America represents listeners with a more liberal point of view.

The interesting thing about blog talk radio is that it is not limited to politics. Yes, there are traditional radio programs that discuss subjects outside of politics, but blog talk radio shows cover such an extensive variety of interests it is not hard to find something that interests you. There are various sites that allow users to connect to blog talk radio stations, probably the most noteworthy is blogtalkradio.com, for obvious reasons. On this site users can watch, listen, and even create their very own talk show. The site states that as a user you can, “Record your own talk show using just a phone and computer. Share it as a podcast. All free.” There are also ways to stay connected with people online that become interested in your show, or share similar interests with you. According to the site, “All members can add friends and favorites and rate shows.”

February 21, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

For those internet and network marketers who want to build traffic to your site but really don’t want to write, I have a great suggestion – podcasting.  You can create high quality content that visitors will flock to, simply by speaking.

Podcasting is the latest technology that makes audio files available online for downloading from the Internet to your computer, iPod or any other device capable of playing media files.   A Podcaster will use RSS feeds for facilitating easy availability and detection of required audio files.  It sounds a lot more complicated than it really is.  Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing much more information on the topic of podcasting – because this is quickly becoming an excellent way to attract tons of visitors to your opportunity.

According to Dave Wiener, who made Podcasting possible along with Adam Curry, RSS feed used for Podcasting differ from other RSS feed for text  because you use your ears for listening to the new content on your media player instead of using your eyes to read it on the screen of your computer.

Let’s talk about a few differences between Podcasting and Broadcasting
:

The word Podcasting originated as a confluence of two words- iPod and broadcasting.   With latest technology, you do not need to have an IPod to listen to a Podcast.  Most computers now come with the ability to download and listen to podcasts right from your computer.  You can listen to Podcasts on any media player with the ability to play MP3 files, and is good for listening to Podcast feeds.

The difference between radio broadcast and Podcast is that in case of radio, the signal is pushed out while in Pod casting the end user pulls the signal by downloading the audio show on his/her computer or other device.

Podcasting is Easy to Start
If you think that making Podcasts is very difficult process than you are completely wrong.  Podcasting is a very easy process.  Let’s take a look at a few basic details so you will see how simple it really is.

Social Bookmarking can be a traffic magnet.  To build solid traffic and generate prospects for your opportunity, you need to understand what Social media is, and how to maximize it to your advantage.

Keep in mind, the whole Social marketing concept involves building relationships.  I have emphasized several times that the focus of Web2.0 strategies (especially Social Networking), is the perfect marriage between internet marketing and Network Marketing.

Social Media :  It is about…

* Weaving your content and messages into the social web
* Making friends with your target audience
* Communicating with those friends in real time if possible
* Listening to those friends and responding accordingly

It’s Just Human Nature to build relationships, and the Social Networks make it possible to build relationships virtually.  Those relationships become excellent prospects for our opportunity.

It’s just in our nature as human beings that we like to communicate about what we are interested in.  But there are more reasons than just learning more about what we are interested in that moves many of us to want to communicate about it openly and in public.

People want their opinions to be heard. They like to see their ideas in print. They like getting replies from other people about their opinions.

People like being part of a community of like minded individuals. They like feeling like they are actually a part of something. They like getting involved.

Some people like controversy or having a controversial point of view. Some like to create controversy just to see if they can stir up others in a community to create buzz about differing opinions. Read more
