When will Traffic Convert to Prospects?

August 19, 2007 by Joseph · Leave a Comment

I’ve written a lot about the importance of traffic generation, and creating a traffic funnel to your opportunity website. Most Network Marketers understand the simple concept that “generating more traffic will ultimately generate more leads and prospects.

That leads me into the discussion of “conversion” - or more specifically, [tag]how to convert traffic[/tag] to qualified prospects.

In this writing, there is no way I’ll be able to spell out all of the techniques I use to build a “[tag-tec]Targeted Prospect[/tag-tec]” funnel for my Network Marketing Opportunity. I am often asked how I convert my traffic into living, breathing, prospects who are truly interested in my opportunity.

First of all, I don’t have special “tricks” that I use to build a steady flow of [tag-ice]quality prospects[/tag-ice]. I hate sales hype, scams, and all the ridiculous superficial manipulation gimmicks that are often perpetuated by distributors who probably just don’t know any better. The [tag]MLM Industry[/tag] is a good industry, but certainly we have our share of problems that we need to clean up.

I use a very simple strategy to [tag]convert traffic to prospects[/tag]. It takes a little longer to build, but it works- and works well. It’s not necessarily a strategy, because it’s something I do naturally and is not fake. I will expound on in greater detail later in future writings, but will share a general foundation statement on what I do. (I share more specific training in my [tag]Easy Traffic 101[/tag] Course, and in my [tag]Traffic Report Newsletter[/tag].)

Basically, my web and blog sites are a reflection of who I am. I write on topics that are important and have meaning to me. By virtue of my interest I my topics, I generally am able to share a little passion that is personal, and real to me.

So the key for me is… I don’t necessarily try to convert my visitors with “slick talk” or hyped-up sales pitches. I break the ice with my visitors, and hopefully give them a good idea of who I am and perhaps - if they want to work with me in my opportunity.

Web 2.0 is all about building a community. I suggest that you write on things you like, and have some knowledge on the topic. If you write naturally and share your passion, you will be rewarded with prospects that feel comfortable with who you are - and will want to know more about your [tag]Network Marketing Opportunity[/tag].

A Traffic Jam You Will Love

I’ve been researching ways to funnel traffic to my sites for a long time. After all, traffic is the essential element in whether my opportunity website is a success or not. My site can be absolutely beautiful, but if I don’t get visitors to see it - it’s a total loss.

There are a few special “secret methods” for attracting large amounts of traffic that most Network Marketers don’t know about. I’ve shared in several blog postings the [tag-tec]importance of blogging[/tag-tec], and especially writing fresh, unique content. I’ll continue to push the issue, because most marketers are still looking for the silver bullet that will enable them to get traffic without putting forth any real effort. The lazy days of [tag-ice]traffic generation[/tag-ice] are over.

If you are ready to begin filling your funnel with massive amounts of targeted traffic, you’re just going to have to do a little work. Spend 30 minutes a day writing [tag]GOOD content[/tag], and then post that content in key places. You’ll see excellent results quickly.

Let me give you an example:

The other day, I posted an article to one of my favorite Article Directories. Within three days of my post, there were over 47 references to my article in the Google index. That is certainly not a huge number of references, however, it is interesting to note that those references were from other sites showing my article.  Site owners had visited the Article Directory and found my information valuable enough that they wanted to show the article on their sites.

So, in addition to the 47 links to my site (in 3 days) I was also getting a massive amount of visitor exposure. Who knows how many people had read my information on the other sites? I wonder how many of those visitors will read the article, and visit my site for more information that I’ve written?

The bottom line for me is: [tag]Good Content is VIRAL[/tag]! If you spend some time thinking about your subject, and carefully write on your topic- you will be rewarded as people want to share that information with others. That’s really the essence of Web 2.0 - Community interaction.

If you want to create a traffic jam for the Long-term… spend a little time writing good, fresh, content. Then, place that [tag]fresh content[/tag] in good locations that people will appreciate and pass it on to others. You’ll have visitors flocking to your Opportunity site quicker than you ever imagined.

So What Can I Buy with Traffic?

August 15, 2007 by Joseph · Leave a Comment

I’ve spoken with several Network Marketers who don’t always understand the concept of [tag-tec]traffic generation[/tag-tec].  In fact, they think in terms of [tag]lead generation[/tag] and prospects.  Regardless of how they acquire the prospects, they just want to talk with them and get them involved in their opportunity.

So, why is traffic important then?  Or better stated, what financial value does traffic generation bring to me and my site?

Those are some of the questions I have been getting since I first launched the [tag]MLM Traffic Report[/tag].  “Old School” Network Marketers have been literally scared to death by the discussion of [tag]blog sites[/tag] and traffic generation.  Some would rather put up flyer on the grocery store bulletin board, than spend a few hours learning an Easy Traffic system.

The reality is, by utilizing some of the systems in the MLM Traffic Report, I can create MORE TARGETED PROSPECTS faster than any bulletin board flyer.  Not only that, I will get more contacting ME wanting more information about my opportunity.  Getting prospects is easy, if you learn to utilize the systems and tools that are available.

Blogging, enables me to let my visitors know something about me.  By sharing regularly, my visitors will get to know who I am- and whether they want to work with me or not.  I can show my knowledge in an area, and even share my passion about things.  Basically, I can break the ice with the visitor- before I ever have to pick up a phone.

How valuable is that?  Personally, I think it’s priceless.  I can spend 20 or 30 minutes sharing some of my insights on a blog that could be read by thousands of people in a very short period of time.  Can I do that with a phone call, or home meeting?  No way!

So traffic can basically buy me anything I want.  If I get enough, I can get plenty of prospects.  If I get plenty of prospects, I’m pretty sure I’ll get plenty to sign up for my opportunity.  When that happens over-and-over, well… I just made a great income.

Traffic is the key to my financial success with any [tag]Network Marketing Opportunity[/tag].
